For those who are interested in trying out this great sport we suggest you start with barefoot bowling. We will provide the equipment and instruction as needed.
You can even get a few friends together, use our BBQ (BYO Food) facility or we can cater for you, enjoy a few drinks from the bar and have a great time.
No longer considered a game for the ‘oldies’, barefoot bowls is a great way to relax, enjoy the company of friends and an opportunity to make new ones. Barefoot bowls requires no brilliant sporting prowess or superior motor skills and encompasses all levels of ability. All you need is a desire to have a go and have some fun.
THE CLUB’S COMMITMENT:
Part of The Wollstonecraft Club’s commitment to fostering and developing bowls in the North Sydney community has been the formulation of a Bowls Development Committee.
The committee’s role is to develop a strategy that will aid in actively encouraging schools and individuals to participate in the sport of bowls. By increasing participation levels our goal is to secure the longevity of the sport in the local community, as well as, educate the public of the healthy lifestyle and social benefits of the game.
